With the letter of intent (LOI) signed for Alliance Community Hospital to become affiliated with the Aultman Health Foundation, here's what to expect pending several months of due diligence and a review by regulators:

Under the current plan, what will change at Alliance Community Hospital?

  • Access to broader medical care through Aultman's regional health care network.
  • Better access to medical specialists.
  • More shared resources between ACH and Aultman.
  • Added services in Alliance based on community need.
  • Shared governance that includes a new board with equal representation selected by the Alliance Citizens Health Association Board and the Aultman Health Foundation Board.

Under the current plan, what will stay the same at Alliance Community Hospital?

  • The name will remain Alliance Community Hospital.
  • ACH will remain a not-for-profit community hospital.
  • The Planetree culture of patient-first will remain.
  • Funds contributed to the Alliance Community Hospital Foundation will be used solely to provide health services and health care in the Alliance community for many years to come.
  • The current management team and staff will remain in place.
  • Current contracts with local medical staffs will remain in effect.
  • Auxiliary and volunteers will continue to support ACH.
