The Importance of Sleep – Topic of Seminar at ACH

Alliance, OH--- How sleep affects one’s overall health will be the topic of a free public seminar Friday, April 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Conference Room 1A at Alliance Community Hospital

Kay Miller, BA, RRT, director of respiratory/sleep lab services, and Mary Wike, LPN, will conduct a Sleep Seminar addressing sleep therapy and its benefits.

Miller has been with Alliance Community Hospital for eight years and is a graduate of Malone University with a degree in Health Service Management. Wike has worked at ACH for 18 years, with 12 of those years being devoted to the sleep lab.

The presenters will demonstrate how a sleep study is performed and explain the advantages of home equipment companies and their machines and supplies. They will also explain the significance of snore scores and sleep scanning.

Light refreshments will be supplied by Dasco Home Medical.
