PACE works toward hospital improvement

June 12, 2013

In September of 2012 Alliance Community Hospital welcomed its new members to the Patient Advisory Council for Excellence (PACE). The committee is made up of past patients or caregivers that have been to ACH within the past 24 months and colleagues of Alliance Community Hospital. This task force has been charged with sharing ideas and suggestions in order to establish new initiatives at ACH which reflect the hospital’s mission, vision and values that honor patient-centered care above all else. This group works with ACH administration to help enact policies and programs that put the needs and preferences of patients and their family members and visitors first.

The council meets on a monthly basis at ACH to regularly discuss opportunities for improvement, to provide input on programs and services and to become knowledgeable spokespersons for the organization.

One of the things that the committee is currently working toward is to reach out to the community to provide information on hospital policies, programs and services. Each month the council will hear from presenters on an array of topics with the goal of then teaching and educating the community on these areas.
