June 9, 2009

The Northeast Ohio Red Cross has issued a blood emergency, which includes <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Alliance.  This means simply, there is not enough blood and blood products in the Red Cross supply to handle all of the needs of the 53 area hospitals it supplies.

We are asking that everyone who is able to donate at AllianceCommunityHospital on Thursday please do so.  The hours for the drive are noon until 6 p.m. in conference room 1-A of the hospital.

Special recognition will be given to those individuals who are members of the community's emergency services – police, firefighters, EMS, ambulance, etc.  Free t-shirts will be provided by the Red Cross honoring our emergency services workers.

Appointments for the drive can be made by calling the Volunteer Office of the hospital at 330-596-7821.
