“It is an honor to be recognized for doing work that I love,†said Locke.

Locke, along with Annette Simpson, Lifeline coordinator and Ray Bishop, installer, has shown consistent efforts to educate both internal and external networks of health and community services professionals on the value of Lifeline.

The Alliance Community Hospital Lifeline Program was established in 1986 and since then has helped over 5,000 elders live more safely in their own homes. Today calls to 330-821-6310 are received not only from health professionals but also from the adult children and families of elders seeking ways to reduce the care-taking load and maximize their show of caring.

The Lifeline service provides immediate help for subscribers 24 hours per day, 365 days per week at the simple touch of a lightweight, waterproof button worn around the wrist or as a pendant. The service is affordable at $30 per month with a one-time professional installation fee of $30. There are no long-term contracts.

Founded in 1974, Lifeline Systems of Framingham, Massachusetts is the largest personal response service in North America. The company has helped over five million at-risk elders and their families gain added peace of mind.
