The hospital's next blood drive will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 12 – 5:45 p.m. in Café conference room 1-A, located on the first floor of the hospital.

The drive will be in honor of Mike McAlister of Atwater, a 21-year-old student at CaseWesternUniversity and graduate of MarlingtonHigh School.

On Oct. 1 of this year, McAlister was diagnosed with Viral Myocarditis.  Due to the number of surgeries and complications he has undergone since being diagnosed, he has received approximately 70 units of blood, and well over a total of 100 blood products.

To help to replenish the blood supply and donate blood in honor of McAlister and patients like him, please contact the Volunteer Services Department at ACH at 330-596-7821 or 330-596-7822 to schedule an appointment for December's blood drive. Appointments can also be scheduled online at
