Alliance Community Hospital's Lifeline Program Continues to Enhance and Grow in the Community

After 20 years of providing personal response services to seniors throughout the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Alliance community, AllianceCommunityHospital's Lifeline program continues to enhance its resources, allowing subscribers to consistently receive the highest quality of care when calling for assistance.

According to Deborah Locke, R.N. and program manager at Alliance Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, this comes at a time when Lifeline Systems recently announced that it is now serving half a million subscribers throughout the United States and Canada. 


“We're tremendously proud of the difference our program is making in Alliance and the surrounding area,†said Locke.  “We are able to help the seniors in our community live safely with confidence and peace of mind.â€


Lifeline's solution for seniors living on their own is “Personal Help Button†technology, which immediately connects the individual to a response associate when in need of assistance. The lightweight, waterproof Personal Help Button can be worn around the neck or wrist, allowing subscribers to notify Lifeline 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with just a simple press of a button.


Personal Response Associates receive intensive training in gerontology, stress management, and various topics on aging before becoming certified to assist subscribers.


“It's rewarding for us to be able to support the active and independent lifestyles of the seniors in our community and to know that when they need assistance, we're always there for them,†said Locke. “AllianceCommunityHospital's Lifeline program is proud to provide this service and peace of mind to its 347 subscribers.â€
