ACH Blood Donors Needed

Alliance Community Hospital will host its monthly American Red Cross blood drive on Thursday, July 19 from 7 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. in conference room 1-A, located on the first floor of the hospital.  If an individual has not donated since May 25, he/she is eligible to donate at this drive.

Individuals who donate blood between June 28and September 3 will be entered into a drawing for 1 of 6 $500 gas cards or the chance to win a new vehicle!  For more information and contest rules, visit www.RedCrossDonor.org or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543). 

 

Donors at the ACH blood drive will be entered into a drawing for a special prize, as wells as coupons for a variety of other area businesses.

 

Walk-ins are always welcome, but donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment. 

 

“We want to keep the donor flow moving smoothly and efficiently, so having an appointment is one way of insuring our donors will be “in and out†as quickly as possible,†states Becky Wilson, ACH Lab Coordinator.

 

Typically, this is the time of year when a severe shortage of blood and blood products exists.  <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Northeast Ohio is again facing this crisis.  Blood donors are desperately needed in order to help curb this situation.
