Curriculum

The resident will complete the following required rotations:  Ambulatory Care I and II, Internal medicine I and II, Pharmacy Service, Practice Management, Transitions of Care and Medication Education, Longitudinal Project

The director and preceptors recognize the importance of tailoring the experiences to the resident’s personal career goals and provide the following elective rotations:  Academia, Emergency Medicine, Hospice/Palliative Care, Internal Medicine Physician practice, Informatics, Long Term Care, Health Coach Program

Residents are also Highly encouraged to participate within the Northeast Ohio Medical Universities Teaching Certificate program

Staffing Requirements and Responsibilities

In addition to scheduled rotations, the ACH PGY1 residency offers longitudinal experiences to further develop clinical skills:  Chronic Disease State Management Clinic (MEDS Clinic), Drug Information, Medication Safety/Management, and Pharmacy Service every other weekend.
