The road to recovery can be challenging. A quick start and aggressive rehab are key principles to maximizing recovery. Because of this, Inpatient Rehab provides one of the best options available in your recovery.
The Rehab unit provides a unique environment lead by our Medical Director, Dr. Karen Gade-Pulido. You can expect several face to face visits with the doctor each week and you will participate in intensive 1:1 rehabilitation therapies.
Rehab patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy a day, 5 days a week and your individualized plan of care will be coordinated by a specialized team of professionals.
Common diagnoses in an inpatient rehab unit include:
• Neurological
- Guillian Barre, ALS, Parkinson’s, MS, Encephalopathy
• Stroke
• Amputation
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Musculoskeletal Disorders
- Polyarticular Arthritis, Myopathy
• Post Surgical
- Complex orthopaedic, multiple trauma, femur fracture
The ACH Inpatient Rehab Center offers individualized plans for care that concentrate on:
• Medical management
• Communications skills
• Locomotion (walking/steps)
• Transfers (chair, toilet, bed, car)
• Bowel and bladder
• Self care (bathe, dress, feed, groom)
• Mood (depression, anxiety, etc.)
