Are You at Risk for Colon Cancer?

Answer the following questions to determine if you are at a higher risk for Colon Cancer.

  1. Are you 50 years of age or older?
  2. Have you or a close relative had colon cancer or colon polyps?
  3. Have you had inflammatory bowel disease?
  4. Do you have blood in or on your stool (bowel movement)?
  5. Do you have pain, aches, or cramps in your stomach that happen a lot and you don’t know why?
  6. Have you had a change in bowel habits, such as having stools that are narrower than usual?
  7. Have you lost weight and you don’t know why?

If you answered "Yes" to one or more of these questions, you may be at a higher risk for Colon Cancer and you should talk with your physician about having a Colonoscopy. A Colonoscopy is the best procedure to check for Colon polyps and Colon Cancer. Early diagnosis of these conditions is the key to a complete cure.
