PRESCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT ACH'S CCC
About 20 students from the Union Avenue Methodist Preschool lit up the day of residents of Alliance Community Hospital’s Community Care Center last week. The children made the trek over to the CCC with their teachers in order to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt with the long term nursing facility’s residents. The residents assisted activity staff earlier in the day in hiding the eggs. After all the eggs were found, the students and residents enjoyed getting to know each other over cookies and punch.
“This is just one of the ways we try to bring two very special members of the community together to allow them to interact, enjoy one another’s company, and really, bring out the best in one another,” said Lori Underwood, Activities Coordinator at the center.
The students enjoyed Easter candy and a visit with Peter Cottontail as part of the annual event. About 20 residents also participated in the celebration.
