Planetree Representative Visits Alliance Community Hospital
Diane Ball, RN, MS Ed, a staff member of the corporate office of Planetree, visited Alliance Community Hospital last week to assess their Planetree practices and programs.
Ms. Ball toured the facility, observed employees at work and interviewed several managers, colleagues and volunteers about their impressions of what it means to be a Planetree facility. She was at ACH for two days and offered feedback on potential new Planetree options and programs at the hospital.
“We were so pleased to have her here because we’re on a never-ending quest to improve the ways in which we offer clinical excellence and extraordinary measures of compassion to our patients, visitors and staff in a safe, soothing healing environment,” said Connie Poulton, SPHR, Vice President of Colleague Relations and Planetree Services at ACH.
Planeteree is patient-centered care philosophy which deems clinical quality and caring for individuals in mind, body and spirit equally important in terms of patient care methodology.
Alliance Community Hospital is the only hospital in the state of Ohio to be affiliated with Planetree. Currently, it employs dozens of Planetree programs and initiatives including but not limited to: aromatherapy, massage therapy, concierge services, open visitation, patient empowerment (through open access to their charts, room service amenities and many other options), prayer shawls, and care partner services.
