Orientation for Prospective ACH Volunteers
On Tuesday, January 8, 2008, Alliance Community Hospital's monthly volunteer orientation, “Ventures into Volunteering,†will be held at the hospital in conference room 1-A from 1 p.m. until approximately 4 p.m.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
This program was developed to showcase the volunteer program, as well as to educate individuals on many of the mandatory aspects of volunteering in a hospital setting. Participants will learn about topics as; proper hand-washing techniques, how to operate a fire extinguisher, confidentiality, sexual harassment and safety issues.
“The focus of the program is to better prepare potential volunteers before they select a service area in the hospital. We feel that by exposing individuals to many aspects of volunteering and hospital operations, they will be better prepared to begin a volunteering career at ACH,†said Marcy Todd, Coordinator of Volunteer Services.
Registration is required for “Ventures in Volunteering.†For more information or to make a reservation, please call the Alliance Community Hospital Volunteer office at 330-596-7822 or 330-596-7821 by January 7th.
