Diabetes Community Seminar Will Feature Three Experts
ALLIANCE -- A panel of local experts will highlight the fall Diabetes Community Seminar on Saturday, November 7 from 9 a.m. until noon at Alliance Community Hospital’s Conference Room 1-A adjacent to the cafeteria.
The seminar, which is free and open to the public, will feature three presentations with time set aside for discussion. Yvette Graham, program specialist for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education program at the Stark Office of the OSU Extension, will present “Think Your Drink.”
Her presentation will be followed by “Foot Care and Shoe Selection for Diabetics,” by Rodney Scott, a Kent State University graduate and doctor of podiatric medicine, who is a senior resident at Alliance Community Hospital.
The third presentation “How to Talk to Your Doctor” will feature Connie Altomare, the certified diabetic educator and coordinator of the accredited Diabetes Outpatient Education Program at Alliance Community Hospital.
