Department of the Month
Alliance Community Hospital’s Department of the Month is the Information Technology Department.
Comprised of 10 outstanding Colleagues, the department describes themselves as being a customer service department responsible for all computer technology in the hospital and for any hospital affiliate. They also work very hard to keep colleagues up-to-date with the newest technology.
Specializing in keeping the hospital HCIS (Meditech) and other department specific software and hardware running and upgraded is a specialty for this department. They also provide end use support for in-house problems and well as outside issues by means of helpdesk software.
Something many Colleagues may be unaware of is that all technical support is provided 24/7, and that all offices that connect to Meditech and other ACH applications are supported via this department. An estimated 680 – 700 Colleagues seek technical support a month.
According to Dave Shroades, Chief Information Officer, although this department can function independently, they work well as a team.
“We are pro-active and committed to providing excellent customer service to all Colleagues, patients and their families,” said Shroads. Truly they follow the backbone of the Planetree Philosophy.
The department has this to say about themselves, “We can’t fix it if we don’t know about it!” So, follow their advice and if you are having a problem with your computer or any of the hospital technology contact them immediately.
