ACH Crowns Pet Therapy King and Queen
Alliance Community Hospital recently went to the dogs! The Pet Therapy handlers nominated their dogs for ACH King and Queen. Each pet therapy dog was given a container during the week of October 10th through October 15th. Colleagues, visitors and owners were encouraged to vote for their favorite dogs, with all the proceeds going to Sadie’s Pet Pantry located in Alliance. Pet food donations were also accepted.
The top male dog chosen as king was Dezl, a boxer owned by Briana Blaser, while Callie, a Shiloh Shepard owned by Becky Myers, won the top vote for queen.
Each winner also had a court, which helped to raise over $1,000 for the local pet pantry. First runner up for King was Scamper, a daschund owned by Sarah Beth Stratton. Second runner up was Bear, a chihuahua owned by Ruth DeFranco. Third runner for up was Petie, a daschund owned by Barb Devies. Fourth runner up was Elmo, a golden retriever owned by Missy Miller.
First runner up for Queen was Smoochie, a chihuahua owned by Briana Blaser. Second runner up was Abby, a golden retriever owner by Ruth DeFranco. Third runner up was Whisper, a golden retriever owned by Sis McClelland and Ruth DeFranco. Fourth runner up was Piper, a greyhound owned by Karen Miller.
Two dogs also received the title of “Mr. and Mrs. Congeniality” and the lucky dogs were Dominic, a boston terrier owned by Elizabeth Fox, and Tori, a lhasa apso owned by Ruth DeFranco.
