ACH Announces Mobile Web Page
Now patients and community members on the go will have no trouble keeping up with the latest news from Alliance Community Hospital.
“We’re proud to announce the addition of a mobile web page,” said ACH PR/Foundation Director Patty Kimerer, PWE.
Kimerer said this latest change caps off a year of transition and growth for ACH’s social media efforts.
“In 2011, we made a concerted effort to step up our virtual community outreach and this is just the most recent –though certainly not the last- development in our ongoing process,” she said.
Smart phone users can now access a special version of the Alliance Community Hospital website specifically designed for their use. Its address is http://m.achosp.org. Icons for mobile apps for each brand of smart phone are now located at the top of the hospital’s main web page www.achosp.org.
Kimerer said the hospital is keenly aware that social media is the fastest grow communication vehicle in the country if not the world. “We want to help keep patients, patient family members, community members and general web browsers abreast of the latest hospital information available to them,” she said.
The mobile version of the hospital’s website offers easy access to its physician directory, visitor information, key contacts and phone numbers, directions, and other important patient information. It also provides a quick link to the hospital’s main site.
“We are keeping in step with industry trends in order to offer consumers the fastest, most easy access to health education and other hospital information,” said Kimerer, noting that the hospital’s web page will continue its expansion into the New Year by offering clinician-hosted interviews and patient testimonials as well as many other new features.
“We know the number of smart phone users is growing at light speed and this population expects fast access to information that they can easily, quickly download in a format that’s readily viewable on their devices. Now, we are giving them that option,” said Kimerer.
