Student Experience Program & Student Observation Program

Student Experience Program

Thank you for your interest in gaining healthcare experience as a student at Alliance Community Hospital.  Our Student Experience Program is a collective effort of Program Coordinators, department directors and hospital colleagues in carrying out our ACH mission of providing our patients and guests with a safe, comforting, healing environment. This is accomplished by always keeping patients, customers and the community first! We welcome the opportunity of serving our community by allowing interested college students to explore the possibility of joining us!

Students – what you need to do:

  1. Contact the Alliance Community Hospital’s Program Coordinator of the area you are interested in to see if an affiliation agreement is currently on file between your attending college or university and Alliance Community Hospital
  2. If Affiliation Agreement is in place proceed to Step #3. If one is not in place then contact your college or university advisor and send them Alliance Community Hospital’s Affiliation Agreement below:
  3. Complete the Student Experience Application and send to Alliance Community Hospital’s Program Coordinator within two weeks of anticipated start date:
  4. Print out a copy of the Student Information Packet for your records, you will need this material in order to complete the Application and to be considered for placement.

*Note: this can be a timely process – it’s recommended that the student applicant anticipate one to two months for processing*

Once the above steps have been completed, the corresponding Program Coordinator will contact you to confirm acceptance into the program and to arrange a schedule to complete hours.

Alliance Community Hospital will do everything it can to fulfill the student requirements; however, we cannot guarantee completion of hours as sometimes other mitigating circumstances can occur, including but not limited to a program agreement between the school and Alliance Community Hospital cannot be reached, the applicant does not pass the criminal background check, or the department undergoes an emergency or staffing change that results in having to end the Student Experience opportunity.

Student Observation Program

If you are a student enrolled in college; are at least eighteen (18) years of age; and wish to gain experience by observing in an area of your interest for eight (8) hours or less per semester, please contact the Program Coordinator of that area.

To participate you will need to complete the Student Observation Application, which requires you to review the Student Information Packet
