Our Alliance Community Hospital volunteers are diversified – a fact that benefits everyone! Baking cookies, discharging a patient, offering a Soft Touch (hand massage) treatment, assisting shoppers, holding a patient’s hand, working on a financial project, making a pet therapy visit, doing research – these are only a few examples of the ways in which ACH volunteers help patients, visitors and colleagues.
Each month a “Ventures in Volunteering” orientation program is held at the hospital to introduce potential volunteers to the mechanics of volunteering at ACH. This mandatory 4-hour program covers everything from patient confidentiality to the benefits of volunteering at ACH. Reservations are required for this monthly program. Please call the volunteer department at 330-596-7822 or 330-596-7821 for the date of the next available class. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
You will find our program diversified and challenging. We work with each volunteer by taking into account his/ her talents, skills and schedule when placing him/her in a service area. With over 40 service areas to choose from, we are confident that we can provide every volunteer in a position they will find both fulfilling and meaningful.
