| Cardio-Pulmonary professionals provide diagnosis and treatment for patients with chronic heart and lung disease. The team consists of physicians who specialize in pulmonary medicine, cardiologists, registered and certified therapists.
ACH offers the following cardiopulmonary services:
Ambulatory Blood Pressure is a non-invasive monitoring system to show fluctuation in blood pressure during a specified time period. This type of blood pressure monitoring gives multiple readings over a specified time period (usually 24 hours) rather than a one-time measurement and helps avoid possible errors associated with one-time measurements. Ambulatory testing is available at ACH Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m.
Echocardiography is a non-invasive diagnostic test of the function of the heart and its structure that is helpful in establishing a specific diagnosis and estimating the severity of various cardiac diseases. Echocardiography is available at ACH Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Holter Monitoring is a non-invasive study of the electrical activity of the heart. It gives a constant reading of your heart rate and rhythm over a 24-hour period (or longer). The Holter Monitor can record heart rate and rhythm during chest pain or symptoms of an irregular heartbeat. Holter Monitoring is available at ACH Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m.
The Sleep Disorder Center makes diagnosis of sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, sleepwalking, insomnia and sleep apnea in updated, private rooms equipped with the most modern sleep-study technology. The Sleep Disorder Center is designed with patient comfort in mind and features many hotel-like amenities. ACH’s Sleep Disorder Center is open seven nights a week from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tests can be done within 10 days of a physician’s order. Day studies are also available.
Stress Testing examines the function of the heart under physical exertion. It is used to measure the heart’s tolerance for exercise and detect various forms of heart disease. Stress Testing is available at ACH Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
Tilt Table Testing is a non-invasive test designed to evaluate how the body regulates blood pressure in response to changes in body position. It is used to help determine the cause of fainting. Tilt Table Testing is available at ACH Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to noon.

Cardiac Rehab is rehabilitation for heart disease patients that includes exercise, education, and support to help them live a healthier, more active lifestyle. Cardiac Rehab is available at ACH Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pulmonary Rehab is rehabilitation that includes exercise, education and support to help lung disease patients breathe easier by increasing strength and stamina and reducing shortness of breath. Pulmonary Rehab is available at ACH on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
