Alliance Community Hospital is now offering a free weekly breastfeeding education class. This support group titled "The Lactation Station Cafe" will meet every Friday at 12:30 p.m. on the second floor of the hospital right outside of the Obstetrics Department.
This new Alliance Community Hospital support group is for breastfeeding mothers and mothers considering breastfeeding.
The Lactation Station Café is a “mommy and me” type of support group. We invite you to bring your lunch and your breastfeeding concerns or questions. Join our board certified and registered lactation counselors, Carol Frient, IBCLC, Carey Ann Menough, CLC, or Heather Welsh, CLC for an hour of socializing and breastfeeding problem solving.
Group meetings will offer a baby weigh scale to measure intake, guest speakers, prenatal support and guidance to pregnant women who want to learn about breastfeeding, and resources for breastfeeding mothers.
