To help them experience the Planetree concept of patient care and to familiarize them with the quality technology offered at Alliance Community Hospital, two community tours have been scheduled for area residents.
“We feel it is important to open our doors to the community so they have the opportunity to experience the way we have embraced the Planetree concept of patient-centered care. We utilize every opportunity to make positive and compassionate differences in patient care at ACH,” explained Marcy Todd, volunteer coordinator at AHS.
“Planetree addresses the healing of each patient’s mind, body and spirit. If a patient comes in with a broken leg, it isn’t just the leg we treat. There is a person attached to that leg, and that person has loved ones attached to them. So the service we provide must touch each component of that patient – not just the broken leg,” she said.
The first tour will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. The second tour will be held on Wednesday, October 22 at 1:00 p.m. Each tour will last approximately 1 ½ hours. Individuals interested in participating in either of the tours are asked to call the volunteer department at the hospital, 330-596-7822 or 330-596-7821, at least a day prior to the tour to make reservations. Comfortable shoes are suggested.
“We are very proud of our facility. But it is not the facility that administers care to our patients and their loved ones. Our quality care and state-of-the-art technology are two vital components to our patient care.
