The Alliance Community Hospital Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization that raises funds to help provide the best health caring experience for our patients. These gifts received from our generous donors have been an essential part in providing and improving our quality health care services, technology and patient experience enhancements.
The ACH Foundation raises money in several different ways including:

Alliance Community Hospital Foundations Hosts 8th Annual Charity Golf Event
Monday, June 25, was a great day to golf and an even better day for charity. Area golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the fairways at Alliance Country Club during the 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic, sponsored by Alliance Community Hospital.
This community fund-raising event netted over $38,000 to benefit the Alliance YMCA, the Alliance Neighborhood Center and the Stark County Interagency Council on Homelessness.
The event was spear-headed by the Charity Golf Classic Committee, comprised of a number of community members including Gayle Battershell, Dave Becker, Steve Brown, Vicki Conley, Sam Donohoe, Stan Jonas, Bill Lavery, Dale Nissley, Ted Rhodes, Jennie Slimon and Larry Stewart.
A total of 116 golfers competed in four-person teams scramble format.
Title Sponsorship levels were Alliance Community Hospital, Aultman Health Foundation, Fidelity National Collections and anonymous contributions in honor of our beneficiary agencies. The “Munchy Mobile” cart was proudly sponsored by Ted’s Auto Sales, Inc. Scrambler supporters were Alliance Auto Club, Doug & Gayle Battershell, Judge Charles E. The team with the fourth lowest score was awarded the first place purse.
First place, with a score of 30, went to General Commercial Corp. whose team members included Dan Davia, Don Peterson, John Hamulak and Kent Shutey. The second place spot, with a score of 29, went to the Hunt Family consisting of Christopher Hunt, Matthew Hunt, Randy Hunt and Ann Hunt. After a score card playoff, Stark-Summit Ambulance with a score of 30 went home in third place with a team of Rob Hritz, Bill Ridge, Rick Annen and Scott Negulici
The team with the lowest score, the Tournament Champions, went home with bragging rights and individual trophies. This year the lowest scoring team was Standard Plumbing/Johnson Controls. Dave Grabowsky, Dave Peters, Ed Dunkerley and Phil Williams comprised this team.
Proximity awards went to Christopher Hunt for longest putt on Hole #5, Doug Peterman men’s longest drive on Hole #2, Ann Hunt for women’s longest drive on Hole #5 and Bob Kroupa closest to the pin on Hole #3. The putting contest was won by Standard Plumbing/Johnson Controls.
The skins winner on Hole #7 went to Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty, Co., L.P.A.; the winner on Hole #12 went to General Commercial Corporation; the Hunt Family won Holes #11 & #17; Huntington National Bank won Holes #1; and White Physical Therapy Services won Hole #14.
Many teams and individual prize winners graciously donated their winnings back to the Charity Golf beneficiaries.
Agency representatives also spoke on behalf of their organizations reminding everyone how the funds raised from this event will continue to support programs in the community.
The committee extends its gratitude to the event day volunteers and everyone who participated in making this event a success.
